Most lenses have coatings that completely block ultraviolet light. This specialist lens however does not, and when used with our full spectrum camera, allows us to see into the ultraviolet spectrum.

In addition to UV, the lens transmits visible light as a normal lens would. Therefore it is necessary to use a UV bandpass filter to block visible light. This is included as part of the kit.
