The past few days have been more than a little busy. Straight after the OIA conference, we were in Birmingham getting prepared to exhibit for the first time at The Photography Show. Our friends over at Scott Country International kindly invited us to exhibit on their stand with them – and I even ended up on a live broadcast interview talking about thermal cameras!
On 14th and 15th March, I went to the Outdoor Industries Association annual conference at Shrigley Hall Hotel near Macclesfield. As far as a conference goes, it’s pretty varied – how many other conferences begin with activities such as a guided walk sponsored by Ordnance Survey, or mountain biking with a member of British Cycling?
Last weekend, we visited Rotterdam as my film The Clowns of the Sea was screening in a festival there – Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam. I have been to film festivals before, but I’ve never been to one specifically for wildlife filmmaking – let alone one that was screening a film I’d made.
